Job description

Job Purpose: (1 or 2 sentences explaining why the job exists and what it needs to achieve)

To check technical matters related to the properties of materials, quality of the work and the technical

methodologies of work construction.

. Principal Accountabilities: (the 6-9 main areas of responsibility)

Projects Technicality Operation

  1. Coordinate all design development and approval processes

  2. Follow up the time schedule agreed for the design development and drawings with Subcontractors

  3. Prepare and implement a drawing management system

  4. Review contract documents and advise on technical matters affecting construction and time costs

  5. Prepare and follow-up technical queries with Client

  6. Assist in preparing Method Statements and Procedures related to construction both structural and architectural

and give technical features for the aspects of work

7. Coordinate the approval of drawings and responsible for the distribution of drawings released for construction

to concerned site personnel

8. Ensure in coordination with Site Engineers that execution of works is to the required quality and safety and

resolves all technical problems for all trades

9. Prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets of offers received from the Subcontractors, and follow

up of the subcontracted works, including the payment applications

10. Prepare work requisition for all required permanent materials, and prepare material submittals and follow-up

of the approval process

11. Follow-up on the deliveries and invoicing of these permanent materials

12. Assist the technical supervisor in the management of Subcontractor works and point out any technical deviation

  1. Define performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensure that the

goals are monitored and achieved during the course of the year

2. Take ownership of your own learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the

reporting manager and working towards bridging the gaps through various means which go beyond just training

3. Understand the competencies relevant to the role, and work towards displaying as well as developing these

effectively

4. Keep abreast of relevant professional developments, new techniques, and current issues through continued

education and professional networks

5. Handle any additional tasks as per business needs
