Job Summary

The Senior Foreman – Mechanical Construction is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing mechanical construction activities at site. The role ensures that work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and company policies. The Senior Foreman leads foremen and skilled workers while coordinating with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Leadership

  • Supervise and lead mechanical foremen, technicians, and skilled labor on site

  • Assign daily tasks and ensure efficient manpower utilization

  • Provide technical guidance and resolve site-level issues

  • Monitor productivity and work progress against schedules

Mechanical Construction Activities

  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems such as piping, HVAC, equipment, pumps, compressors, and related systems

  • Ensure work is executed according to drawings, specifications, and method statements

  • Coordinate with civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams to avoid conflicts

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce strict adherence to HSE policies and site safety procedures

  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings

  • Identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented

  • Ensure use of proper PPE at all times

Quality Control

  • Ensure mechanical works meet quality standards and inspection requirements

  • Coordinate inspections with QA/QC and client representatives

  • Rectify non-conformances and ensure proper documentation

Planning & Coordination

  • Assist in planning daily and weekly work activities

  • Coordinate material, tools, and equipment availability

  • Liaise with subcontractors to ensure timely and quality execution

  • Report daily progress to the Construction Manager or Project Engineer

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain daily work reports, manpower logs, and progress records

  • Support preparation of method statements and work permits

  • Assist in punch-list clearance and project close-out activities

Working Conditions

  • Site-based role with extended working hours as required

Qualifications & Experience
