Job description
HSSE Site Operation
- Ensure the implementation and adherence to approved health, safety, and environmental procedures and systems to protect the project’s staff and assets.
- Collaborate in ensuring the maintenance of all safety tools and types of equipment are in optimum condition to prevent unforeseen situations to ensure stringent safety standards are maintained.
- Participate in developing and conducting HSSE reports and database information for the allocated segment to monitor and track work progress.
- Design warning methodologies/tools /systems such as colors, notes, codes, and remarked signs for alarming project employees of any potential risks.
- Assist in knowledge sharing and required training programs for project employees’ skills sharpening and performance enhancement.
- Advise on setting up the improvement guidelines for Project HSSE Management System to project employees.
- Ensure improvements are implemented and results are feedback to employees.
- Conduct HSSE audits to identify possible hazards and address potential accidents.
- Contribute to site accident investigation, collect all data and information, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with the procurement /supply chain department for purchasing the availability of HSSE tools/facilities upon business inquiries and management approval.
- liaise with HSSE authorities/communities/social committees, and public bodies to protect the company and megaprojects from bad reputation trending or legal actions.
- Maintain good relationships with megaproject stakeholders and business partners “Internal /External “.
- Keep aware of ISO HSSE standard updates, and any new legislation of the project region for job reflection
Self-Management
- Define performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the HSSE Megaproject Manager and ensure that the goals are monitored and achieved during the course of the year.
- Take ownership of your learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the HSSE Megaproject Manager and working towards bridging the gaps through various means beyond just training.
- Understand the competencies relevant to the role, and work towards displaying as well as developing these effectively.
- Keep abreast of relevant professional developments, new techniques, and current issues through continued education and professional networks.
- Handle any additional tasks as per business needs.
Policies, Processes & Procedures
- Follow all relevant company and ePMO department policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
- Comply with all relevant information security practices and standards to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
Job requirements
- Specification :Bachelor
- Degree :Engineering, Construction Management
- Years of Experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience in construction HSSE
- One of OSHA /NEBOSH/ ISO 45001/14001 certifications or relevant is a must.
