Repair & Maintenance Supervisor

Job description

To supervise, inspect, schedule, assign, prioritize and participate in heavy equipment maintenance, coordinate work assignments with other supervisors to ensure efficient use of resources and provide technical expertise.

Daily Operations

  1.      Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work

  2.      Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices taking into account ‘best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement

  3.      Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet company requirements, policies and standards

Equipment Repair & Maintenance Supervision   

  1.      Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance

  2.      Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads

  3.      Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities

  4.      Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time

  5.      Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage

  6.      Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site

  7.      Conduct follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work

  8.      Conduct safety inspections as scheduled

  9.      Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time

People Supervisory & Development

  1.      Supervise & evaluate employees’ performance with continuous feedback on their assigned tasks and provide development opportunities to maximize the potential and engagement of employees

  2.      Supervise the talent pipeline through effective utilization of employee development programs, mentoring programs, career planning and succession planning

  3.      Supervise employees changes through continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking best practice into account, changes in standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans

Self-Management

  1.      Define performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensure that the goals are monitored and achieved during the course of the year

  2.      Take ownership of own learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the reporting manager and working towards bridging the gaps through various means which go beyond just training

  3.      Understand the competencies relevant to the role, and work towards displaying as well as developing these effectively

  4.      Keep abreast of relevant professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional networks

  5.      Handle any additional tasks as per business needs

  1.      Follow all relevant company and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner

  2.      Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and cont­­­­­­rols to ensure a healthy and safe work environment

  3.      Comply with all relevant information security practices and standards to ensure data integrity and confidentiality

Job requirements

Degree Bachelor Engineering

Years of Experience

·        7+ years of relevant Equipment maintenance experience in construction

·        Technical certificates in equipment maintenance
