Job description
Manage Earthwork Projects: Lead and manage projects that include excavation, backfilling, grading, and creating foundations for construction.
Schedule Planning: Plan and organize all activities related to earthwork to ensure the project is completed on time.
Team Coordination: Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and prevent delays.
Budget Management: Monitor project expenses and ensure the project stays within the allocated budget.
Quality Control: Ensure earthwork activities are carried out according to engineering specifications and standards.
Reporting: Provide regular progress reports, highlight potential issues, and propose solutions for timely resolution.
Safety: Ensure compliance with safety standards at the site and provide ongoing training to teams on safe work practices.
Client and Contractor Communication: Maintain continuous communication with clients and contractors to ensure that their needs are met and to address any issues that arise.
Job requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience managing earthwork construction projects, preferably in large-scale construction projects within the construction industry.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of earthwork techniques including excavation, backfilling, grading, and foundation creation.
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead teams and coordinate activities between various stakeholders.
Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills in diverse and challenging situations.
Safety Compliance: In-depth knowledge of site safety standards and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP or equivalent certification.
Experience with earthwork projects in industrial or commercial sectors.
Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
