Engineer I, Technical Electrical

Engineer I, Technical – Electrical is responsible for providing technical support for electrical engineering activities across the project lifecycle. This includes reviewing designs, preparing technical documentation, supporting site teams, and ensuring that all electrical works comply with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and standards.

• Assist in preparing technical submittals, method statements, and shop drawings.

• Coordinate with design consultants, site engineers, and construction teams to resolve technical issues.

• Ensure that electrical systems comply with project requirements, codes (e.g., IEC, NEC), and safety standards.

• Participate in material submittal reviews and assist in selecting appropriate electrical components.

• Provide support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.

• Prepare and maintain documentation such as as-built drawings, redline markups, and progress reports.

• Assist in reviewing supplier and subcontractor documents to ensure compliance with design and technical requirements.

• Support the resolution of site queries and technical RFIs (Requests for Information).

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

2. Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience in electrical design, technical support, or construction projects.

3. Knowledge:

   • Basic understanding of electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, grounding, etc.).

   • Familiar with electrical codes and standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE).

   • Exposure to AutoCAD and other design or drafting tools.
