Job description
Responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of structural systems, including reviewing drawings, bar bending
schedules, and material submittals. The role ensures structural compliance with design standards, supports
technical coordination with other disciplines and assists in resolving construction-stage design conflicts.
Principal Accountabilities
Policies, Processes & Procedures
· Adhere to organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance and maintain a productive work
environment.
· Implement and uphold safety and security protocols to protect the well-being of all employees and
company assets.
Projects Technicality Operation
Supervise the preparation, coordination, and review of structural shop drawings, calculation, design &
technical documents for reinforced concrete and steel structures, including foundations, slabs, and retaining
systems.
2. Review and approve subcontractor submissions, structural design reports, method statements, to ensure
compliance with project requirements and applicable codes.
3. Lead the preparation and resolution of RFIs related to structural conflicts, design gaps, or site constraints.
4. Oversee the preparation of structural material submittals (e.g., concrete mix designs, steel grades) and follow
up on approvals and delivery schedules.
5. Coordinate with the design team, site engineers, and construction management to resolve structural issues
and ensure timely execution.
6. Participate in the evaluation of subcontractor and supplier technical proposals and provide recommendations
based on technical compliance and constructability.
7. Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on structural detailing, code application, and construction
challenges.
8. Monitor and report progress of structural technical works and flag any risks or delays related to design
deliverables or materials.
Self-Management
Work in alignment with goals set by engineering management and provide periodic reports on structural work
status, challenges, and resolutions, while staying updated with the latest structural design codes, construction
techniques, and new materials relevant to infrastructure and building projects.
2. Continuously improve technical leadership skills by engaging in advanced structural topics and learning from
project experiences to enhance expertise and performance.
Miscellaneous Duties
Perform additional duties as needed to support the team and overall business objectives.
Job requirements
Required Academic Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree - Category Civil Engineering
5-8 Years of relevant experience in construction technicality
