Job description
We are urgently seeking a Senior QC Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 8–10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure and mechanical systems for large-scale construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing and executing mechanical quality assurance/control activities at site, ensuring that all work complies with applicable codes, specifications, and client requirements—specifically on the prestigious Diriyah project.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise all mechanical QC activities (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, utilities) in accordance with approved project specifications and international standards.
Review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), material submittals, and shop drawings.
Conduct and witness inspections and testing of mechanical systems, including pressure testing, flushing, balancing, etc.
Coordinate with the client’s QA/QC representatives and consultants for all inspection activities.
Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause analysis, and closure of quality issues.
Monitor the performance of subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality compliance.
Ensure documentation is complete and in accordance with the project’s QA/QC requirements.
Support internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Provide mentoring and guidance to junior QC engineers and inspectors on-site.
Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in QA/QC roles within infrastructure or mega construction projects.
Strong background in mechanical systems for infrastructure (pumping stations, water networks, district cooling, firefighting, etc.).
In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, ASME, ISO).
