Job description

We are urgently seeking a Senior QC Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 8–10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure and mechanical systems for large-scale construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing and executing mechanical quality assurance/control activities at site, ensuring that all work complies with applicable codes, specifications, and client requirements—specifically on the prestigious Diriyah project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all mechanical QC activities (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, utilities) in accordance with approved project specifications and international standards.

  • Review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), material submittals, and shop drawings.

  • Conduct and witness inspections and testing of mechanical systems, including pressure testing, flushing, balancing, etc.

  • Coordinate with the client’s QA/QC representatives and consultants for all inspection activities.

  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause analysis, and closure of quality issues.

  • Monitor the performance of subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality compliance.

  • Ensure documentation is complete and in accordance with the project’s QA/QC requirements.

  • Support internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior QC engineers and inspectors on-site.

Job requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  2. Minimum 8–10 years of experience in QA/QC roles within infrastructure or mega construction projects.

  3. Strong background in mechanical systems for infrastructure (pumping stations, water networks, district cooling, firefighting, etc.).

  4. In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, ASME, ISO).
