Job description

The Construction Director plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and successful completion of Mega infrastructure project, from inception to delivery, while meeting quality, safety, and budgetary requirements. Typically oversees all construction activities of the project.


  • Leading and managing the overall construction process, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Supervising and coordinating a team of engineers, project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure the successful execution of the project.
  • Ensuring that construction work meets quality standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.
  • Implementing and enforcing safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on the construction site.
  • Managing contracts with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, including negotiating terms, resolving disputes, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, such as changes in scope, schedule delays, or budget overruns.
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and community representatives, to provide project updates and address concerns.
  • Monitoring project expenses, tracking costs against budgets, and implementing cost-saving measures where possible to ensure financial success.
  • Resolving issues and challenges that arise during construction, such as design changes, material shortages, or unforeseen obstacles, to keep the project on track.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in construction operations.

Job requirements


  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (master’s degree preferred, with PMP Certification).
  • Focused on QHSE and Environmental aspects Management.
  • Ability to guide Project Controls Team in developing WBS, Schedules, Histograms in Primavera.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Minimum15 years of experience in managing large-scale City Development, Infrastructure projects, out of which the last 5 Years in Senior Project Management Positions.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and procurement methods.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a large and diverse team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to handle pressure and make sound judgments.
  • Experience in the execution of large projects in Saudi Arabia is desirable.
