Job description
Job Purpose:
A BIM Modeler (Dry Utilities) is responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating detailed 3D digital models of dry utility systems-such as electrical, telecommunications, gas, and street lighting-within large-scale infrastructure works (roads, highways, urban developments, etc.)
2. Principal Accountabilities:
3D Modeling and Documentation
Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for dry utility networks (electricity, telecom, gas, street lighting) using software such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and related tools.
Prepare models and drawings aligned with project Level of Development (LOD) requirements for design, construction, and as-built documentation.
Generate 2D drawings, layouts, and sections from BIM models to support construction and permitting processes.
Clash Detection and Coordination
Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between dry utilities and other infrastructure systems (wet utilities, roads, structures) using Navisworks or similar tools.
Participate in and sometimes lead coordination meetings with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of all utility models.
Automation and Process Improvement
Utilize automation tools such as Dynamo for Civil 3D to streamline modeling processes, improve efficiency, and reduce manual errors.
Develop scripts or workflows to automate repetitive tasks and enhance BIM deliverables.
Quality Assurance and Standards
Ensure all models and drawings comply with project BIM standards, company protocols, and industry regulations.
Conduct regular model audits, quality checks, and maintain high standards for BIM implementation and data integrity.
Data Management and Model Updates
Manage and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, reflecting design changes, construction progress, and as-built conditions.
Maintain organized records, version control, and documentation of all model revisions and updates
Communication and Technical Support
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other BIM professionals to gather input, clarify requirements, and resolve technical issues.
Provide technical support and guidance to team members on BIM software and workflows.

Electrical Bachler Engineering or equivalent Bachler degree suitable for business field
